Finally time to catch up with myself after York Op Finally time to catch up with myself after York Open Studios… It was a wild one with numbers reaching pre-pandemic levels and sales to match. This year my energy levels have been on the floor, and making insta posts has been one thing too much to do, so I’ll sum up in this late post, and try to do better throughout the year. Here are some of the sold pieces… and some weren’t even photographed before they went… madness. Next event is North Yorkshire Open Studios on June 6/7 & 13/14 at Rogues Atelier, York. At 1m square and the weight of a small child, it’s a challenging and brave buy, but I can assure you that the walls can take it, and that art should be about being brave. Anchor the calico with tacks, attach with staples… Anchor the calico with tacks, attach with staples… for old chairs with many tack holes in their frames, this is the kindest way to go. Not for beginners though as accuracy is needed, and once they’re in they’re a real pain to get out!
